Committee Purpose
The goal of the Land Use Committee is to provide a forum for all members in good standing within the ELULS who focus on, or have a common interest in, land use law to discuss and exchange ideas leading to increased knowledge and understanding of land use law. To that end, the Land Use Committee maintains a Listserv for open discussion on issues of interest to Committee members (to be added to the Listserv, click on the link below). The Land Use Committee will also, as needed, study proposed and existing legislation affecting the use of land and serve as a source for speakers for CLE programs and authors for articles in the ELULS Treatise and other Florida Bar publications. In addition, the Land Use Committee will facilitate a network of practitioners who wish to engage in discourse on innovative and emerging ideas pertaining to land use law.
Current Projects:
The Land Use Committee is continually working on identifying content for ELULS educational resources, most notably live seminars, webinars, and timely written content to the section reporter and Florida Bar Journal.
Additionally, several land use-related articles can be found in the ELULS Treatise and authors are hard at work on updating and creating new articles.
