Purpose

To oversee the promotion of the Section’s internal and external sponsorship programs, creating a robust sponsorship program that helps to fund the Section’s overall goals

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and update external Section Sponsorship Program Brochure and Cover Letter (Sponsorship Exhibit A – completed each April) as needed each fiscal year. “External” sponsorship may include sponsorship from Section members, other Florida attorneys, and non-attorneys (for example “Associate Members”).

2. Promote and follow-up on external Section Sponsorship Program with potential sponsors including previous year sponsors, previously contacted potential sponsors, and new potential sponsors (completed each April 1- June 30).

3. Maintain a list of current and previous Section sponsors and their paid-for benefits (Sponsorship Exhibit B).

4. Follow-up with confirmed Section sponsors to ensure they are receiving all their paid-for benefits, remain pleased with their sponsorship, and solicit other ideas for sponsorship in the next year’s fiscal year.

5. Identify opportunities for internal Section sponsorships, grants, and donations and propose funding to those various events and causes to Executive Council as they are identified.

6. Work with The Florida Bar Program Administrator to distribute payment of funding to various internal sponsors agreed upon by Executive Council as they arise.

7. Complete periodic reviews of the Section website to ensure content and Committee information is accurate and up to date.

8. Prepare status reports following Committee meetings and calls for presentation at all ELULS Executive Council Meetings.

9. Operate within budgetary parameters to ensure appropriate Section income and
expenditures related to the Section’s sponsorship initiatives.

10. Evaluate and identify new Committee goals or revisions to Committee goals through periodic review.

Goals

1. Continue to identify new potential external sponsors and/or connect with external sponsors who no longer support ELULS.

2. Maintain and adjust external Section Sponsorship Program to fit current market.

3. Continue to identify new opportunities for internal Section Sponsorships, grants, or donations.
